Originally the Green Is Global Campaign was created to raise awareness about Metal Roofing and Solar Thin Film but has since expanded to include all sustainable and longer lasting home improvement projects including, siding, windows, roofing and attic barrier.

We Want Every One to Know that Every Year:
  • 13 billion pounds of asphalt shingles go into landfills, whereas metal roofing is 100% recyclable at the end of its very long lifespan (50+ years).

  • $40 billion is spent annually in the United States to cool buildings. This accounts for one-sixth of all electricity generated in a year.

We also want everyone to know the impact they make by choosing "green" products and in this section we'll explain not only what these products are but what makes them sustainable, energy efficient and overall good for the environment and mankind.

  • Metal roofs have 2-3 times the life expectancy of asphalt shingle roofs
  • Metal roofs contain 20-30% post consumer recycled material
  • Metal roofs are 100% recyclable at the end of their lifespan
  • Metal roofs reflect the sun's rays saving 20-40% on building cooling costs (1/6 of all energy in US is used to cool buildings)
Solar Thin Film
  • Renewable and clean energy for 20+ years
  • Low lifecycle costs
  • Sustainable material usage that is much less expensive to mass produce than traditional silicon photovoltaics
